St Augustine's is a Christian church in the evangelical Anglican tradition. We base what we believe on God's written word, the Bible, and we affirm the historic creeds of the Church.

What Christians believe is summed up well in 1 Corinthians 15:3-4: "...Christ died for our sins, as the Scriptures say. He was buried, and three days later he was raised to life, as the Scriptures say."

We believe that Jesus died on the cross to bring us back to God. By placing our trust in Jesus we can have forgiveness and new life, a relationship with God which begins now and continues into eternity.

Jesus rose from the dead showing that sin has been dealt with and that death has been defeated. That means that those who trust in Jesus will be resurrected with him and will live forever.
